About Me - Kristine

Kristine - Latvia, Limbazi

Harvester

Current address – Navan, Co Meath

During summer 2013 i received a call from my friend about a vacancy available at McKenna Mushrooms ltd. Although i had to leave my family behind i took a chance and accepted the position.

My choice did not leave me disappointed. I was happy to earn much better income than back home and provide happier future for my children that are currently staying with me in Navan.

It was easy enough for me to adopt into new working environment; communication was not an issue as supervisors speak different languages. Harvesting instructions are easy to follow and when experience comes you get to enjoy your work more and more. Working day starts at 6 am and finishes on average at about 16.00 or 18.00. Some working days are shorter and i get to spend more time with my family. Navan is a great city to live and enjoy free time. Presence of shops, cinemas, parks and leisure centres is plentiful. I own a car at the moment but even without it Navan bus routes will bring you to any destination in Ireland. If you ask me about my intention to leave Ireland my answer will be definitely not.
