My journey in Ireland began 10 years ago as a mushroom harvester and i still enjoy my work until now. I joined McKenna Mushrooms team in early 2013. During my time with the company i had a chance to share my knowledge of cultivating mushrooms with other employees but also got to know new to me growing technique that allowed harvesters pick better quality mushrooms and earn more money.

Working with people of different nationalities was challenging but valuable experience. I have learned to be a team member and respect different opinions.

I like working here because management team is taking on board employee’s opinions and suggestions in order to make the system work better for everybody’s benefit. Collectors are helping harvesters in many ways to speed up harvesting progress, when on some other farms harvesters are doing many more duties themselves.

I currently live in a beautiful area of Bettystown not far from the beach. That is where i enjoy my free time in a nice weather; otherwise there are plenty of shops available to visit in a Scotch Hall shopping Centre in Drogheda.
